What is “The Cost of Freedom?”

The Cost of Freedom are the actions made by of all those who have given of themselves to defend freedom. Most evidently, this means the Veterans who have fought and all too often died throughout the history of our country so that the rest of us might live in peace.

What is the purpose of this web site?

Our purpose is to pay tribute to all those who “more than self their country loved...”. We will attempt to do so by posting stories of their experiences in their own words, which we hope will not only pay a well deserved tribute, but also serve as a reminder and a warning to us all that “FREEDOM IS NOT FREE”

Since we started this Tribute to Veterans, we have been focused exclusively on those
Veterans who served in W.W.II. Due to the favorable responses we have received about
the purpose of this site, and in light of many requests we have received, we are expanding
our efforts to include Veterans from all Wars.

Please pass this message on to all Veterans you know and ask them to visit us and share their stories with us. Also, if you have any special requests that might help us to honor our Veterans, please contact us. Remember, these stories are our history, so help us to preserve that history for all generations to come!!
